Never before the focus on Amsterdam was more heavily apparent. Not only the vibrant clubscene in the Dutch capital but also the present DJ and productional skills have pushed the underground techno and house music to new heights. Coming from this renowned scene a brand new imprint is now being presented: We Are EP. Ready to push the envelope, this is a family label where it's not about musical styles or trends, but about celebrating the diversity that is Amsterdam.

'House is a feeling', goes a familiar phrase, and surely this feeling was in mind when the We Are E agency was founded in 2008. It was all about bringing together the warmth and energy of a fresh group of musicians. Artists like Daniel Sanchez, Darko Esser, Joey Daniel, Arjuna Schiks, Gideon Bouwens, Rauwkost and Loops set the tone, two years later to be followed by an ongoing series of club events. It was here the musical palette We Are E and the record label had in mind was shaped.

Till this day the We Are E parties in legendary Amsterdam club Studio 80 are a striking example of how intimate and festive the We Are E crew wants everything to be. Even on the second floor parties at Cocoon goes Amsterdam during the Amsterdam Dance Event, or as a hosting partner during the Time Warp events in Holland, it's always about setting a certain vibe, innovative sounds versus familiar feelings.

Firmly based in these beliefs, the crew now presents We Are EP, an independent, strong label profile that represents all that is Amsterdam. Defining element of the music will be its feeling and atmosphere, without committing to one certain style or form.
It's about celebrating music to the fullest. We Are EP wants to give way to well-known artists as well as rising talents to explore their sound, even reshape it if they feel like it. Because it's a family thing, if there's any place to create something out of the box, it's here.

Fuelling this ambitious imprint will be Frenk Wiersma (Evotions) and Kelly Peelen (We Are E), accompanied by dj/producer Darko Esser (Wolfskuil Records). The experience and international network of the people involved, a strong promotional back-up, collaborations with well-known and respected remixers and the We Are E events lead up to an impressive total, all there to bring the We Are E feeling to international acclaim.

Getting ready for its first releases, We Are EP promises some groundbreaking recordings, in the digital field as well as on vinyl. Make sure to expect anything this Amsterdam based family is about; the excitement of the dancefloor together with a distinct and recognizable sound. The set above from Frenk Wiersma is recorded at the We Are EP label release party (april 1st at Studio 80) and as one of the owners of our brand new label, Frenk tried to show his vision of what the label musically is about. It all starts slowly and flowly so sit back and enjoy!
